hugo duro: "If you can say that the game slipped away from you against Real Madrid, that speaks well of how we played"

The Valencia CF striker speaks to VCF Media

Valencia CF goalscorer Hugo Duro talked after his side’s LaLiga Matchday 27 draw against Real Madrid, which saw him on the scoresheet.

Diakhaby

He had Tchouameni fall on top of him. I saw it and it looked really bad. The screams and the look on his face was the worst part of the game. We hope that he recovers as soon as possible, because we need him and we want him to be healthy.

The draw

If you can say that the game slipped away from you against Real Madrid, that speaks well of how we played. But I’m annoyed. I’m happy with our work, but annoyed because we should have kept it at 2-0.

Real Madrid’s first goal

It’s a pity. The referee looked at his watch and there was only a second remaining. It hurt us. It was a shame that we couldn’t defend that move, because I think it would have changed the game.

11 goals for his personal tally

I’m happy. You leave this game with the desire to have won, because the job the team did was amazing. We were left wanting the win, but we’ll keep going.

The attendance at Mestalla

They are spectacular. We ask for respect as our fans showed today. Whoever wants to say that shouting “stupid” is an insult, then I am insulted at every ground in that case. I only reproached Vinicius for his gesture. He had two goals and was having a good game, but he has to focus on what he does, because he is very good. I told him nicely.

The next game against Getafe

It's been a while since we last achieved a victory, but with how we are feeling I think our work is good. We have another game at home to be able to get the three points and make today’s point count. Starting tomorrow, we will work to get the three points next time.
